How to prepare an USB stick for use with ALEXA-Mini LF

  • Format the USB stick on a computer with a FAT file system.
  • Plug the USB stick into the camera.
  • Press the lower side button to get to the MENU. Using the jog wheel and the centre select button, select Media > Prepare USB medium and confirm.
  • The preparation will create the following folder structure on the USB stick:
    ARRI
     A-MINI-LF
      FRAMELINES
      GRABS
      LICENSES
      LOG
      LOOKFILES
      MANUAL
      SENSOR
      SETUPS
      SUP
  • Always place files in the right folder so the camera recognises it. For example, Licences must be in the LICENSES folder, Software in the SUP folder.
  • Note that Hardware Info Files (HWINFO) generated by the camera will be in the LICENSES folder. And ARRIRAW grabs generated in the Sensor menu will be in the SENSOR folder – and not the GRABS folder.
